No salary. I strongly believe that people work harder when they know their pay is directly tied to what they produce. Personally I don't have a salary. I work for myself and get paid based on results and results alone. It is like the old joke of how salary negotiations go: Boss: We will pay you just enough not to quit. Employee: Great and I will work just hard enough to not get fired. It is a great idea but getting people to go along with it would be the hard part. We work anywhere our laptops will work. We work whenever we want. We own our own small Internet business and are the only two employees, so we basically are working for percentages. We use 80% open source (and free) software. We partner with people we have never met or talked to, solely through email. All of our products are digital and cost next to nothing to produce. It's really pretty amazing, because none of that was possible 10 years ago! We already sort of do this. We work anywhere our laptops will work. We work whenever we want.
