About Red Steel

Red Steel is one of the hottest release titles for the Nintendo Wii. It was published by Ubisoft and was the first Wii title to release in-game screenshots. Probably the biggest draw to Red Steel is how it uses the technology of the Wii remote's motion sensor and the nunchuk attachment. You actually get to swing a katana by moving the Wii remote. Red Steel also takes advantage of the Wii remote's aiming mechanism for use with the firearms in the game.

The AI in the game is amazing. According to project leader Roman Oriola, AI characters can "care for themselves." Players can even force enemies to surrender by disarming them instead of killing them. Red Steel puts more emphasis on getting enemeis to join your side rather than killing them.

Red Steel has some of the best environments of any game on any platform. The game runs on a modified Unreal Engine 2.5 which the Ubisoft team had experience with and was able to use it to its full potential.

Red Steel is an amazing game and a welcome gift for any hardcore gamer. One of the best titles for the Nintendo Wii, Red Steel is here to stay.
