Real World Businesses and the Make Money SCAM!

Posted on 11. Jun, 2007 by Dave in Business

This is something I fell for in my once desperation for Internet Wealth. At times It was just curiosity (could it be done) I was interested in seeing if any of these so called techniques worked in making easy money. While some do work in the short term you will end up chasing the latest techniques, never really getting anywhere in your dream to make a living online. I have spent money on eBooks that promise the earth but deliver very little. What this has enabled to do is learn how to ignore this false world and stop listening to these guys. I know more than them, I don’t need to buy their stuff!

If I could give you one bit of solid advice it would be to stay away from Internet Marketing (ClickBank Products) no matter how much you start to enjoy it! – you’ll end in the forums, following the sheep, being lied too, buying stupidly over-hyped products which ultimately lead to nothing. You have been warned!

Internet Marketers have built this false world up where money comes easy (over-night). Once you’re in their world it can be hard to get out, but you must. They seduce you with NLP words and emotionally targeted words, this is how they build a solid following of naive money makers who buy the products they pump out every month! These guys will keep buying their Shit and making them more and more rich. It’s like a drug to the GOO-RUU the more the sheep buy the more they pump out.

In the real world, you follow a simple formula, a process that has no secret tricks, no special piece of software to make you rich. You get an idea and make it happen with hard work and determination, the rest you’ll learn along the way. I will try and give out as much knowledge as I know on the Industry as a whole but the rest is up to you.

A real world, solid business whether off or online takes work, hard work to get started and run, but once you’ve done this the rewards can be Astounding!

The new POLL has begun – Real World Business or Make Money Products?

The last poll was an astounding overall victory for “Consumers are People Too” (funnily enough) 67% of you have the right qualities when it comes to making a living online in my opinion. Customers/Consumers are me and you, treat them no differently in business. The other 24% of you – you should be ashamed of yourself!

I think Clickbank has an obligation to make sure due diligence is done when accepting new products. Possibly this may or may not be the case (who knows for sure?)

The fact is, a lot of products on there marketplace have very, very dubious content.

Alex said: What about StomperNet or Perry Marshall and John Reese? Are they thinly diguised scam artists too? The likes of StomperNet, Perry Marshall, John Reese to name but a few, it’s difficult to say as I have never studied or bought anything from them. I would say, start a business without the intervention of an Internet Marketer. It’s simple STOP LISTENING! start DOING!

They are highly trained Marketers and are very clever at what they do – I suggest reading all Marketers are liars :)

One thing I am curious about is how ClickBank operates without being shut down by govt.? The thing has so many scams being sold through it and a lot of pyramid schemes as well.

Where does one draw the line?

What about StomperNet or Perry Marshall and John Reese? Are they thinly diguised scam artists too?

How do you tell the difference?

John, I realise how this looked, but if you check again I was referring to what Alex Goad had mentioned.

I forgot to put in the reference to Alex Goad, which I have now done :)

I’ve seen some scary stuff in the world of offline business as well. One guy I know of had a briefcase of “contracts” ready to be fulfilled. He peddled that stuff around and sold his “services” to many companies for about 5 years.

I’ve also seen guys raise millions in private investment capital and have nothing to show for it after a few years.

Snakeoil salesmen have been around as long as snakes have. And they’ll probably be selling the dream long after all the snakes are long gone.

So why mention them in this context? It sounds to me like you’ve made a judgement without any facts…

However out of those three, I’ve only come across Perry Marshall’s definitive guide to adwords which is a good product for those that don’t know how to use adwords.

The others I just couldn’t say…

I’d have to agree with Shane, I’ve come across plenty of snakeoil salesmen offline too.

Adie,

Ah, I missed that. Well the start my comment doesn’t make much sense now either… :-)

What exactly do you consider a ‘real business’? I don’t promote ClickBank products, but I don’t sell tangible products either; I sell advertising on my sites – does this fall into your definition of a ‘real business’?!?

[...] Real World Businesses and the Make Money SCAM! from Net Business Blog by Adie Cooke A great start for us in this cautionary tale! Adie give advice on what and why you should avoid in the Internet Marketing biz and what really takes place for businesses in the offline world. As someone who actually has three businesses that have nothing to do with the Internet (I ended one today, supplier changed their rates), I can relate to what is actually involved in running a business. A lot of hard work goes into researching your product, your target customers, the marketplace, and then you have to find a supplier who can get with you to make it work. If anyone says setting up a business is easy as a few clicks, only pay $xxx.95, turn the other way and run! What I Have Learned as a Beginner from John Chow dot Com by Jane May Jane May, a good blogger herself at JaneMayBlogs.com, is a guest blogger for John Chow today. She goes over what it really takes to be a blogger and lessons she’s learned through blogging. The lessons she mentions are good broad ideas that you need to keep in mind as you try to navigate your blogging career. [...]

I have only purchased on product from clickbank. Conversational Hypnosis by Igor Ledochowski.

It is by far the single best hypnosis program I have ever seen. The support is great and the product delivers.

I’m sure most of the stuff on there is crap. Just my personal experience…

“Never say always.”

I actually got sucked in by the typical long-copy hype advertising, but thankfully it was actually an excellent product anyway!
