Offline affiliate marketing!

Affiliate marketing is not just about earning money by selling leads. Did you ever consider the fact that you can actually earn a lot of money by selling your own products via the same model!

I am writing this because I am experimenting with a similar process in a client’s company. In that specific industry, it was a bit expansive earlier to get a new client. We used to buy leads from different companies but now we generate them via SERP. (I cannot tell about the industry or the company name due to non disclosure agreement)

But still than, after the business process is complete (it normally takes 8 to 12 months and hundreds of phone calls and emails), is there any reason to leave the end users! In that industry the end user may never need our service again. But what about the end user’s trust that we have earned in last 8 to 12 months!

Can that trust be of any use to take the business forward? (Just to add, our end users hardly have any web presence and thus they cannot promote our services online)

I am thinking about turning him or her business associate. Seriously – a business associate.

As he or she is happy with our service and knows enough about our working process, we can easily develop an offline affiliate marketing network. In this process we will just ask him to talk about our services to his or her friends and colleagues.

Now here is a problem. We need to pay the person for each reference. And to do so, we need to track his references. And I do not think that in that industry it will be easy to use coupon codes or different phone numbers.
