First you have to create content the reader want to read and encourage them to submit too. Then you need to build your own profile, network with others, and so on. Definitely a full marketing strategy on its own. Half-hearted effort is not going to get you anywhere so yes, I agree. Make sure you are ready to work and have enough time for it.
