I’m giving away a free copy (used) of World of Warcraft with a high level character ready to play to the 1337th commenter.
I mentioned in a post a couple of days ago how much I appreciate the readerbase here. You guys are the reason I write, and your comments make doing this so rewarding. I didn’t expect the blog to take off like it has. There’s still a ton of room to grow (which I hope it will) but I have to admit I couldn’t be much happier with where it’s at right now. Which is why I’ve decided to give one lucky commenter a little something in return.
About a year ago I was pretty addicted to World of Warcraft. I played it a lot more than I should, but eventually I sort of got bored with it and quit playing. I sold all but one of my games/accounts on eBay (back when eBay allowed virtual items). I held on to one account just in case I ever wanted to start back playing again, but I can safely say I’m no longer interested in WoW - so I’m giving it away.
What You Get
You get the game (used, but in its original box), instruction manual, and all of the install CD’s. I also still have the original CD key sticker in case you ever have any trouble with the law. There’s also a level 60 (sorry I quit before the level cap increased) Undead Warrior named “Soref” on the Akama server. It has a few epics (mostly PvP) but now that the game goes to level 70 they’re pretty much only good for helping you level more quickly.
If you already play WoW this character would be really fun to play as an alt or maybe even switch over to full time. If you don’t currently pay WoW then you can load up this bad boy and cut out about 2-3 months of gameplay. It’s a win/win right? And after all it’s totally free.
How You Win it
Simple: comment here (with your ACTUAL email address in the field). I’m going to mail this puppy to the person who posts the 1337th comment on this blog. I won’t tell you how many comments I have already, but I will warn you that NBB should be hitting its 1337th comment before the end of next week at its current rate.
I will email the 1337th commenter, and if he wants it he gets it. If the winner does not want the game it will go to the 1336th or the 1335th etc until we find a home for it.
I know this isn’t a brand new prize or anything, and I do plan to have some other contests on this blog soon with new prizes. But I figured enough people would appreciate this to warrant giving it away. I know just with the people I talk to there’s a ton of people who play WoW, so I’m hoping that carries over to my readers.

I used to play WoW for a bit but never played after my 10 day trial was up. This could be fun!
Here’s hoping I don’t win, because if I do I know I will no longer have a social life. I tend to avoid MMORPGs for this very reason. I prefer games such as First Life ;)

Hmm…this is a 2 bladed sword ! On one hand, it’d be nice to win this for my boyfriend. On the other hand, I remember he used to be addicted to Diablo 2 back in the day and I don’t want him back on the online games band wagon :)

I hope you know that 100m in 21 seconds is really slow. I can do it in about 16 seconds and I’m not a sprinter, I do long distance.

I never get gold on the 40 in Hall of Fame mode on Madden with a running back :( I can go gold with any other position though!

LOL sounds like me! I was addicted to WOW from October to beginning of December when I finally had to quit cold turkey. It was taking up way too much of my time. I quit at level 48 with a lot of nice stuff.

I think so - it’s “Soref” which is “feros” backwards. feros is my usual posting and gaming name :)
