Several years ago when I was trying to get exposure for my new business I contacted local television and radio outlets with a PR kit offering my expertise commenting on current events.

One television station took me up on it and I appeared there regularly for about a year.

It was free and branded me as an expert, leading to much more exposure than I would have had without it.
