The new theme is finally Live!
Its taken over two months partially due to technical issues as I wanted some Bespoke coding done which we still had to postpone due the complexity. I am happy with the overall usability and functionality of the new look NetBusinessBlog.

I started looking into a new theme for the blog the day I took over here at NBB. I was busy with other things until I finally went to a few business forums to ask for pricing etc…
I actually had a theme built which didn’t suit the style I was looking for and just as I was about too go elswhere I was approached by RealityHosting asking if they could design and build the new theme. After looking at their previous work I was happy to go ahead.
David Saraiva of RealityHosting has been excellent and very thorough throughout this project. I am very happy with the customer service I have received and level of satisfaction.
The new spec allows more space for advertising and other features like Competition / Guest Posts highlighting. One main flaw with standard Blogs is the fact new and old visitors miss out on fantastic older content. My main idea was to get this to the front page where visitors could view out great content easily. I have ended up with a nice admin functionality that allows me to adjust the “Top Articles” section when I want, allowing forgotten about content to be seen again as this benefits everyone which was my initial goal.
This will eventually be automated to choose our older content on the fly daily. At the moment I choose and update them manually.
Our Latest Article will stay on our homepage for one day and then be rotated around and see again in the Top Articles section which is great. This can also beneift Advertisers getting their Reviews etc seen again and again and not lost within the Archives that nobody ever bothers to trall through…
So our Competition / Contest is Live! NetBusinessBlog January Contest check that out.
Our Advertising has been set at Great Rates so why not get in now before they start to creep up again! I would like to apologise for any of you who saw us down a lot over the last few weeks, I don’t want to get in to the issues I had with HostGator but we did eventually work out what was going on.
That’s it I hope you all like the new theme and I look forward to giving you more great content in 2008!

Google….I know you’re listening…
I have this plugin which I look at from time to time (SearchStatus) anyway after reading Mr Chows installment on Google Hunting I decided to go and look at mine. Oh no…my beautiful PR5 is now a PR0!
Haha - The only detrimental effect it will have on this blog will be when I sell it possibly. If I did, I would show any potential buyer my Google Analytics anyway. You know how people are swayed by PR, anyway on to what I plan to do….
I’m going after a keyword Google Own and I want it. That keyword is “Work from Home”
I was going to launch this when our new look NBB Design goes live, but I’ve decided to do it now!

I’m looking for Affiliates to Promote NBB.
How it Works:
1. You leave a review of this blog (good or bad up to you) anywhere on the net use an Article site like EzineArticles.com if you do not own a blog (you do not need your own blog for this to work).
2. Link to us using the anchor text “Work from Home” shown here -
work from home
3. For every visitor that hits our hompage from your link(s), you get paid (how does that sound!)
4. Payouts are monthly and are based on a Per Visitor Level or CPA Cost Per Acquisition. A Unique Visitors Equals $0.5c (Per Visitor) so if you send 100 Unique Visitors you will be paid $5 USD.
Every Affiliate that Signs Up today will be Entered into Our Prize Draw to WIN a brand New “Samsung Pebble SM2232BW 22? TFT Monitor”
For More Information and to Sign Up Please Visit - NBB Affiliate Network
Will Google give my little Green bar back…who knows. (I’m not bothered really).
Make Money now with NetBusinessBlog’s Affiliate Network!
Good Luck!
If you haven’t already done so please sign up to our RSS Feed all new Subscribers from Today will be in for a chance to WIN that Nice New Pebble PC Monitor!
Note: We will track your campaigns using our sophisticated software so we will be able to see if any Affiliates are using paid for false traffic etc.

Performancing, an excellent blog about blogging for bucks, is celebrating their 2 year anniversary with an online treasure hunt.
The prizes include:
- 1 hour free consultation with Chris Garret (value $150)
- Free custom logo from Randa Clay (value $350)
- 1-year free Professional MegaEdition subscription to PMetrics (value $99)
- Professional linkbait service - 1 linkbait plus promotion (value $2,000)
- Blog Reboot - a step-by-step report on how to improve your blog (value $500)
- SEO Reboot - free keyword research report + SERPS analysis (value $350)
- Custom tweak / install of Brian Gardner’s Revolution theme (value $500)
I’m doing the SEO Reboot, so if you win I’ll give you an SEO and keyword research report for your site.
I’ve never done an online treasure hunt before. It’s pretty fun. Basically, you’re trying to figure out 6 words and then arrange them into a sentence. Each day you get a clue for one of the words. The clue is a phrase. For example, clue 1 was “sleazy link-whoring tactics”.
Search using the clue phrase. Next, visit the pages with the exact phrase. Once you’re on the page, look for the outbound links in the article. Then, write down the first letter of the domains of the outbound links. Once you’ve collected all the letters for a clue, unscramble them into a word. Each clue represents one word. Finally, contact Ryan with your word.
The person who contacts Ryan first with the correct word gets a prize. And whoever contacts Ryan first with all six words gets ALL the prizes.
Also, if you blog about the contest and link to this page, you’ll be eligible to win one of the prizes.
Two days have already passed by in the contest, so here are the first two clues:
Good luck! It would be neat to see a Net Business Blog reader win :)

I’m happy to announce the winner of the World of Warcraft sexy account giveaway: Jack of Bizstudent.net. Jack managed to land the 1337th post not by spamming but by actually posting good comments. Thanks to everyone who took the time out of your day to comment on my blog over the last week or so, and I hope you stick around even though I don’t have anything to bribe you with at the moment.
I am already planning a couple other promotional contests and giveaways for my readers, so stay tuned. Oh and by the way, I’m smashing Chow. Burn.
