In my last post I was talking about my plans on offline affiliate marketing. And yes, I have already started the process. Some people told me that it is close to MLM marketing. But I believe that my plans are a bit different from traditional MLM marketing or peer to peer marketing. As the project will proceed, you will come to know why and how things are different.
However, before I start, let me give you a brief introduction on the industry:
It is a hardcore US based financial sector and the target market has severe financial problems. Now, we have client relationship managers who deal directly with the clients. And every client relationship manager deals with not more than 10 clients.
The client relationship managers have enough financial information about the clients. However, it is not just about the existing database of information; we are depending on their interpersonal communications to identify around 10% of the existing clients who have a moderate amount of social presence in our target market.
Why so?
The simple reason is that everyone is not a good salesman or a good social influencer. Or everyone is not into a commendable social position. Another important reason is that I wanted to test the profitability of the model before going out for mass collaboration.
At present we have identified around 159 people who can be included in the program. Among these 159 people, we will identify 100 people to include in the program.
The basic parameters for short listing the 100 people are the following:
- Their social status (friends, family etc.)
- Their job position and social interaction due to job role (teacher, manager etc.)
- Their communication pattern (How do they communicate with the client relationship managers! Do they accept everything or they try to stick to their own thoughts and judgments)
- Their future financial status predictions of the existing clients
- Their relationship with our client relationship managers.
- Their need of an alternative or secondary income.
These are some of the parameters that we are considering at this moment. In the next post I will talk about how we are moving.
